How do I know I become a good PMU artist?
If you are unsure if you have the right skills to do PMU, in PMU Art School you’ll find several different pre -classes and preparatory classes to do before you start your training. You can also join on the Open day to see and try everything for PMU.
What kind of education do I need to learn doing permanent makeup?
You need to graduate from beautician school and be able to prove it.
What do I need to do to start doing permanent makeup?
If you want to start doing permanent makeup, you definitely need a beautician qualification. You also need to be prepared for the challenges of the new profession. The permanent makeup profession has financial implications, but depending on your qualifications, this will prove to be a good investment later on. You have to be diligent, as you will hear plenty of new information and you will have to practice a lot to perfect your knowledge, since you create something that is lasting and this comes with a lot of responsibility and attention.
How much does it cost to learn doing permanent makeup?
You can meet a lot of self-appointed instructors who teach you often incorrect or insufficient information at a low cost. The price of education is proportional to the standard of education, so if you are serious about the education, you should be careful. We met a lot of participants who already completed their basic training, but started all over again at us. You also do not want the cheapest basic training to end up being the most expensive. The prices of the courses at Tünde Méhn PMU Art International School vary. An eyebrow basic class ranges between HUF 415,000 + VAT and HUF 565,000 + VAT, while a lip and eyelid basic class costs HUF 380,000 + VAT.
What kind of machine shall I choose?
You need to choose a PMU machine based on your own requirements as this will be your most important device you use. We have a huge range of PMU machine but we recommend trying them out before you choose. You can always try the machines first before you buy for FREE!
Where will the training be held?
We provide you with all the equipment you need for the training in our training rooms, from the friendly environment to the pigments needed for permanent makeup. You can bring your own permanent makeup device, but if for some reason you do not have the opportunity to do so, please let us know so we can provide a tester machine for you.
Which technique is worth to start with?
It is worth to start with the eyebrow basic class and then move on to the lip and eyelid basic classes, simply because more guests are looking for the right professional for a permanent eyebrow makeup and this is much more common than a permanent lip or eyelid makeup.
What happens after I finish the training?
You can welcome your guests just one day after the training, as we provide up-to-date knowledge of the techniques, products and all the tools you need. But that is not the end of it! By completing the training, you will become a member of the PMU Art Club, a cohesive community where you can ask questions and show your work at any time, and we will continue to support your permanent makeup career.
What degree will I get?
At the end of the courses we will give you a certificate. If you complete basic eyebrow, eyelid and lip training, you will receive a diploma.
Knowledge Raising Training
Who is the Knowledge Raising Training for?
We recommend this training to those who feel that they have imperfections in their knowledge about colour theory, dermatology, uses of the needles or other areas, or who would like to practice on live models. The training will happen in small groups, so your trainer will have more attention for your unique needs.
I still don’t feel myself so well-educated, which one is good for me?
If you feel you are not yet confident enough to attend our intensive master classes, it is recommended to start with the basic class. If you have already completed the basic class, we recommend the Knowledge Raising Training.
What is the thematics of the Knowledge Raising class?
It is a class with loads of practice. You’ll get a workbook instead of a textbook. Your PMU artist trainer will show the technique on latex and then you’ll do the technique step by step with a focus on your missing or incorrect skills under the supervision of the PMU trainer, so you can practice the correct implementation.
Shall I bring my own machine with me?
If you have your own machine, we kindly ask you to bring it to the training. If you have any problems with your machine or you just don’t want to bring it with you, please tell it to us previously, because in this case we can provide a tester machine for you.
What kind of needles shall I bring with me?
You will need appropriate needles for the training, which we will discuss over the phone before the training. If you have an NPM permanent makeup device, we will provide you with NPM needles. If you do not work with an NPM machine, we will tell you during a telephone consultation what needles you should bring for the different techniques.
When is it recommended to do the master class?
If you are already familiar with the techniques and are confident in permanent makeup, but want to widen your knowledge and services, you may want to come to our master classes, as you will gain up-to-date knowledge of the latest permanent makeup trends.
What happens after the master class?
After you completed the master class, you will become a member of the PMU Art Club, where you can share your experiences, ask questions and we will provide plenty of support for you. In addition, your knowledge is going to be up-to-date after the training, so you will be able to welcome your guests right after the training!
What is the thematics of the masterclass?
The masterclass is a very intense class with loads of practice. After a short theory part, you’ll go on with the technique. Your PMU trainer will show the technique on a model, then you have to follow the steps on latex. You have to have previous experience to be able to do the masterclass confidently.
Why is the masterclass only 1 or 2 days long?
Because the masterclass is going in a very intensive pace compared to any other classes. While your basic class should be longer so you have more time to practice and become confident, on the masterclass you’ll have to have previous experience and you have to pe prepared to loads of practice and quick understanding of the technique. On a masterclass you’ll learn hour by hour and by the end of the day you have to do the technique perfectly on latex.
What shall I bring to the training?
You should bring yourself, your joy and if you already have a permanent makeup machine, you might want to bring that with you, too. We provide the rest for you!
Will we get lunch at the training?
Yes! From the buffet of the Buda Gourmet restaurant you can choose what you want to eat. If you have any food allergies, please let us know in advance!
